Start your morning (or any time of the day for that matter) exercising your brain and fingers with these 5 major scale workouts that build your chops, improve dexterity and help you master the fretboard all while having fun with the play along tracks.

The first workout starts with the major scale & major seventh arpeggio in the "E" shape.

The second workout uses the same play along tracks to focus on the major scale and major 7th arpeggio with the "G" shape. Next we combine the E & G shape into one exercise which enables you to master the fretboard as you move around the cycle of 4ths.

Workout #3 concentrates on the major scale and major 7th arpeggio with the "C" shape. This exercise will help you develop the ability to switch positions easily and accurately.

Workout #4 focuses on the A shape in the major scale and major 7 arpeggio. We will combine this with the C shape to form an exercise to play with the tracks.

Lastly workout #5 focuses on developing your right hand speed picking (aka economy or sweep picking) techniques while studying the major scale and major 7 arpeggio in the D shape. We also begin the study of the Dorian mode and the minor 7 arpeggio in the E shape. We'll combine these two sounds to form an exercise to play with the new practice tracks.
